Here, common practice for a working girl to reciprocate a date previously had with a working boy. Date may/may not end with a night cap and a fling. I.e., she takes the boy out for a date at her expense. Para walang utang loob. After all, both are income earners. Sometimes, they, then, enter into a relationship. Become lovers. Possible to culminate by tying the knot. 8)

Anyway, if RJ's interested, he can always apply for a job in the mines here. Bsag toilet cleaner lang, annual salary will be about $70K. Better than going to middle east like Felix used to. 8)
But he can only watch and drool while I pickup the girls who'll spend the evening with me in my senior staff housing when I drive my landcruiser around the quarry for end-of-day inspection. Can't have them as he's only sleeping in a donga packed like sardines with the other lower ranks.
Of course, he can synchronize his weekoff with the girls' weekoff and spend it in RG's "farmhouse". Before long, enters into a relationship with barely legal Sheila. With RJ's pay augmenting Sheila's, shouldn't take long to save enough for Sheila to enrol for an engineering degree here.
After grad, Sheila comes back to the mine with a puti bloke. Splits with RJ. Poor RJ! ;D ;)
Had similar experience in Manila. Supported a student nurse in her last sem - the most expensive sem. Not long after leaving for USA, got married to a puti. Malason jyud ko sa babaye! Hehe :) ;)

According to the Better Life Index of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Australia is the "happiest" industrialized country in the world.
The index compares statistics of 36 countries in 11 categories that the OECD has identified as essential in the areas of material living conditions and quality of life.
Thanks to a timely resources boom in Australia, the country was the only major developed nation to avoid the recession from the global financial crisis. It was highly ranked in most of the 11 Better Life Index topics including, jobs, housing, community, education, environment, health and life satisfaction.
"Australia performs exceptionally well in measures of well-being, as shown by the fact that it ranks among the top countries in a large number of topics in the Better Life Index," the OECD said.
The Index also showed that life expectancy at birth in Australia was almost 82 years, two years higher than the OECD average. More than 72 percent of people had a paid job in Australia at the age of 15 to 64, above the OECD average of 66 percent, and work less hours per year than most people in the OECD.
With high water and air quality, health in Australia was rated highly. The level of atmospheric air pollutant particles small enough to enter and cause damage to the lungs is considerably lower than the OECD average and 92 percent of people said that they were satisfied with the quality of their water.

While still in Manila, on 2 different times, supported 2 student nurses in their last sem (the most expensive sem) all the way to securing their RN. But, when they left for USA, wa na ko baliki.
As mentioned to Felix and RJ, should they get a mining job in Australia, what will they do with the money? Best is to get young Pinay gf enrol in UP engineering. But, what if, after grad, layasan sla? ;D ;D ;D

few days ago, came across the obituary of one. Recalled the bitterness felt when heard the shocking news of her marriage to a puti. :)
Tomorrow is Sydney Opera House 40th birthday. Used to promenade there when still new here in '80. Recalled the exhilaration of finally going overseas. Oh, how swiftly flew the years. Laden with happiness and tears. :)
