Leather-pants lovin' Adam Lambert's scoring magazine covers even before winning American Idol (which we're certain is a sure thing at this point), but it's the makeup'd man's sexual preference that's getting more buzz than his vocal chops.

Ad's keeping mum on whether he's gay or not, to appeal to all of Miss Cali's compadres watching, probably. Silence says it all, though—we've heard the relationship status about pretty much every other contestant, while Ad's backstory is mysteriously missing. Hey, cheers for the dude not willing to lie for first place!

So what would happen if Adam Lambert was out and proud on Idol, would it affect his chances at winning? Reality show judges and Idol experts weigh in on the sexuality sitch…

"Who cares, for God's sake!" So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy exasperated to us at a recent Bev Hills bash. "It shouldn't matter. They're there to sing, dance, whatever it is. That drives me nuts."

Let's ask your cojudge and ex-Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, since he's been around the AI block. Should we just not give a damn if Adam's into dating dudes?

"When I go in to have an operation, I don't say to the surgeon, 'Are you straight or are you gay?' If I watch a movie, I'm not interested if the actors are straight or gay. Someone said to me back when I was producing Idol, 'I understand so-and-so is a lesbian.' And I said, 'Oh, is that illegal in this country?' I don't get it."

No, Nigel, it's not illegal, unless ya wanna get married somewhere other than New England. Will all this attention on Ad, maybe being gay affect his chances at winning?

"I'm disappointed that sexuality comes into it. On So You Think You Can Dance, I ask male dancers to be masculine when they dance, but I'm not asking them to be gay or straight. I don't think sexuality should affect their talent or anything else. I'm disgusted by it."

OK, we gotta play devil's advocate and say we love the gutsy glam-screecher no matter what sexual side he lands on.

But an openly gay winner to the biggest TV show in boob-tube history, chosen by every American out there with a cell phone? It would be too fab! Maybe Lambert will feel a li'l bit more open the last two weeks of season eight? Fingers crossed!

FUN GAMES WITH YOUR FRIENDS / Men Who Are Ungrateful
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:41:27 PM »
A married couple in their early 60s was celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic Married couple little restaurant.

Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared on their table.

She said, 'For being such an exemplary married couple and for being loving to each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish.'

The wife answered, 'Oh, I want to travel around the world with my darling husband.'

The fairy waved her magic wand and - poof! - two tickets for the Queen Mary II appeared in her hands.

The husband thought for a moment: 'Well, this is all very romantic, but an opportunity like this will never come again.

I'm sorry my love, but my wish is to have a wife 30 years younger than me.'

The wife, and the fairy, were deeply disappointed, but a wish is a wish.

So the fairy waved her magic wand and poof!..the husband became 92 years old.

The moral of this story: Men who are ungrateful bastards should remember fairies are female.....

SEND THIS TO A WOMAN WHO NEEDS A GOOD LAUGH .... AND TO ANY MAN WHO CAN HANDLE IT!

FUN GAMES WITH YOUR FRIENDS / A Bird Story!

"Mahiwagang loro, pakasalan mo ako", mas malakas niyang binigkas.

"Ayoko!", sagot ng loro.

Pag silip ni Pedro, 15 inches na lang siya! Minsan na lang para matuwa si Maria.

"Mahiwagang loro, pakasalan mo ako", halos napasigaw siya sa galak.

"Ang kulit mo naman!" sumbat ng loro, "Sinabing Ayoko...!  Ayoko...!  Ayoko...!"

HEALTH WATCH / Does Your Bra Fit Correctly?
« on: October 13, 2008, 01:48:44 AM »
By Lillie Shockney, R.N., M.A.S.

As many as 80 percent of women are actually wearing a bra that is the wrong size for them; it doesn't fit. Why? Because they've never been professionally fitted by a certified fitter.

It's not unusual for a woman's first bra to have been purchased when she was a teen by her mother, and based on what her mother (or the teen herself, or the teen's girlfriends) considered a proper size. So there's a good chance that, from the start, you began wearing a bra that was the wrong size. And over time, perhaps even for decades, you may have continued to either buy the same size and style, or seek the same "look."

Bras are intended to enclose the greater part of your breast tissue — certainly to totally cover your breast mound. The breast's tissue goes up to your clavicle and down to about 2 inches below the band of your bra. So most women are in fact only covering about 70 percent of their breast mound at best, and they're often using their bra as a way of accentuating their cleavage. Is there anything wrong with doing this? Well, it all depends on your size.

For large-breasted women, a poorly fitting bra that allows "spillage" of breast tissue above the top of the cups can cause back problems. Instead of the bra acting as the carrier of her breast tissue (which can weigh a considerable amount), her shoulders end up doing the heavy lifting. This phenomenon is especially evident when, after someone has removed her bra, you can see marked indentations where the bra straps have cut into her shoulder areas. This is due to the weight of the breasts being out in front and pulling downward.

Another reason not to wear a too-small bra — or no bra at all — is that the Cooper's ligaments, which normally support the breast tissue and make our breasts look "perky," get stretched out — elongated, in essence. This results in breasts that droop, a condition known as "Cooper's droop," so that the nipples slowly begin to point south and the breasts feel heavier.

Even small-breasted women who decide they are small enough (or daring enough?) to go braless are subject to Cooper's droop. Thereafter, in order for their breasts to regain their old attractiveness, they must be enclosed in a bra to support them.

No matter what your age is, if you've never been properly fitted by a certified fitter, make a point of doing so. Check at your local department stores to see if they advertise having a certified fitter on hand. Many Nordstrom stores, for example, offer this service. You will be surprised by your new bra size and, even better, pleased with the way you look and feel, inside and out.

HEALTH WATCH / Reducing Beast Cancer Risk

Breast Cancer: How to Reduce the Risk

There are several lifestyle changes we can adopt that can directly affect our risk of getting breast cancer — and I'm a firm believer in doing everything we possibly can to reduce that risk.

Here is a list of actions you can start taking today to help your breasts live a healthier life and remain attached to you!

    * Exercise 3 times a week. This doesn't mean buying a gym membership or training to be the next Olympic running champ. Power walking around your neighborhood every other day will do it — for 1 hour, 3 times a week. Strut your stuff and reduce your risk. And why not recruit a friend to join you?
    * Stick to a low-fat diet. This doesn't mean giving up all sweets and treats, either. Just watch how much of them you eat and don't partake every day. This, along with exercise (see above) will keep your weight within the desired range (which, by the way, is a crucial risk-reducer). Less weight means less body fat and, since we store estrogen in body fat, that's less estrogen for us to be hauling around. This is a brilliant step to take because estrogen is a known promoter and nourisher of breast cancer cells, as well as of cells that are about to mutate into cancerous ones.
    * Stop smoking. Quit if you can, and steer clear of secondhand smoke, too. Believe it or not, inhaling cigarette smoke increases the estrogen levels in your bloodstream. Go figure. And research has now proven that secondhand smoke can be just as damaging to our bodies as lighting up the cancer sticks ourselves. The American Cancer Society has reported that if all tobacco products were banished today, then 80 percent of all cancers would vanish as well. Wow.
    * Limit your alcohol intake. Alcohol too can increase your risk. Are you a social drinker? That's fine, but limit yourself to one alcoholic beverage a day or less (for a woman, that amounts to 12 oz. of beer, 6 oz. of wine, or 1 oz. of the hard stuff). Doesn't matter what kind of liquor we're talking about, either — beer, wine, or spirits, it's all the same. Say "No thanks" after one drink.

This list, you'll notice, is short but sweet. But please do pay attention to these more healthy behaviors because they are the 4 pillars of breast cancer prevention.
