When I was asked to write about my younger brother, Mikey, I have to admit that I was a bit dumbfounded and stumped. Not that there is nothing to write about because, on the contrary, he is such a fascinating, complex subject to write about.
So how do I start? He was born on a star-studded and moonlit November 1 evening thirty something years ago. Blessed with an almost perfectly sculptured profile, expressive black eyes, and a boyish demeanor.
Deeply loved and respected by family and friends for his generous, caring and thoughtful ways, he is fiercely loyal, and will stand up for you.
He possesses something unique: the ability to make people around him laugh with his self- deprecating humor. He has always been child- like and silly, and loves laughing and making people laugh. He is in fact the life of the party for his infectious bubbly ways and his graceful moves on the dance floor
In the realm of sports, he has true grit and determination, as strong as steel, magnanimous in victory and very gracious in defeat. He is versatile, having proven himself with a slew of trophies for triumphs in swimming, volleyball, and of course, tennis!
He is a true- blue fashionista, whose fashion philosophy is combining comfort and style with practicality and common sense.
I’ve witnessed his metamorphosis from a simple and naïve province- bred lad into a sophisticated, self- assured, dignified and cultured gentleman who has embraced the culture and lifestyle of his adoptive country without shedding the vestiges of his Filipino identity and culture.
Don’t be misled by his seemingly nonchalant and carefree ways for Mikey is a focused and determined young man who dreams of achieving all his goals and aspirations in less than ten years.
As you browse Mikey’s website, feel free to make comments and suggestions. Enjoy!
