Naai shortage sa mga senior nurses diri. Pero only in certain specialized areas like renal nurse. Kahibao ko ini kai during my kidney transplant [kt], the ratio of nurse : kt patient ought to be 1:1. Ang nahitabo, 1 nurse was caring 4 patients. It was really chaos. Hehehe.
Another thing. Hosp here prefer Eur trained nurses when accepting foreign nurses. Tingali kai mga equipment diri are European.
As for junior nurses, not too good, I'm afraid. 6+ yrs ago, there was a worldwide shortage. Consequently, many Pinoy/Pinay became nurses to take advantage of the global shortage. Unfortunately, this has lead to a glut in the nursing market. No realistic likelihood that the situation will change anytime soon.
The prediction that things will improve in 2 yrs is a gloomy forecast. The current focus of migration intake is on refugees/asylum seekers which has become a nightmare for many rich countries. Yes, the world is really getting crazier and crazier.
Apology to be a bearer of bad tidings. But you must have known this already. It's not really news anymore.
