Get a mining job here. Alam ko persistence lang ang kailangan. Also consider the many different avenues for entry. The Australian resource industry has a dearth of manpower. Shouldn't be too difficult so long as you're not choosy. Anyone having a positive mindset and a flexible attitude will certainly be attractive to prospective employers.
Ok pag bago pa sa job. Masarap pakinggan kc malaking sweldo -- dazzling $$$$$s. Free board and lodging while at work. As a FIFO worker and having Philippines as home base, you'll be spending in peso during week-off.
Pero, eventually, masasawa ka rin. The reality is, malungkot ang buhay sa mina.
Like when Atlas Mining, Cebu, was still operating. Many engineers worked for only 1 year. Then, resigned and became jobless. Said, "Mamatay ko sa kamingao didto".
Maraming college grad sa atin na walang trabaho. Nagsalig lang sa oban. Lalo na pag mi OFW relatives sending periodic remittances. It's a deeply-rooted evil in our country, mate. Been like that long before me left for o/s 30+ years ago. That's why very difficult to weed it out. 
Others, naman, are underpaid and overworked. Yet not too keen to work in a lonely Australian minesite. Lalo na if unskilled labour like toilet-cleaning. Prefer to live in bustling Makati. Bahala nag pataygutom. 
Idea of working in an Australian mine is to save money for enrolling in UP engineering after contract expires. Improve your worth.
Easier said than done. Mahirap iwasan the dazzling eyes ng mga kamag-anak&friends during your week-off in the Philippines. Hehe. 
Susunduin ka sa airport. Then, take you on ABS spending spree. Everybody will expect you to libre him/her. So that, before end of your week-off, ubos ang lahat ng pera. 
Think over very carefully and decide for yourself whether your cut out for the kinda life in the mines. It's a rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.
Bottom line is, there's no easy way into big money even in Australia's resource industry.
Different for engineers like Zulacs. Motel type staff accommodation for singles ... staff housing for marrieds in the minesite. Every now and then, fly to Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, etc (even abroad) for conferences, seminars, conduct [job] interviews, whatever. Oh, yeah, an excellent career path -- a very rewarding profession!
And speaking of job interviews, palagai ko, this is already happening in the Philippines. Good idea to keep ears open to gossips.
Australian mining requires, first and foremost, engineers to launch the multitude of pending projects. Then, the rest -- tradespeople, domestic cleaners, etc -- will follow.
Merely expressing my views, that's all. Agree not very pleasant. But goes without saying that the most candid opinion is almost always the most unpleasant opinion.
