Steaks and lobsters, prawns, caesar salad and garlic bread and wine, etc. A candlelight dinner in a restaurant's dark corner with a lovely companion across – my HK Chinese coed gf 30+ yrs ago. Owned by her uncle, was then the largest restaurant in Brisbane.
Days earlier was a formal dinner celebrating bethrotal. Her parents came over from HK. Few months later, left her for a job in lonely Koolan Island mine. Hehehe.
Really didn’t like the smell of it. During formal dinner, she was too friendly with a bloke who came with parents. Told me he’s her cousin. Later learned wasn’t – must have clandestine relationship. Suspected a fake marriage getting myself into. Oh, yeah, would have been cheaper and less risky than paying an Aussie bloke for her partner. Hehehe
Elvis Presley Memories Lyrics
In the game of love, wouldn't exactly say na malas talaga ako. Before marriage, many loves have I.
Jus that ...
"Seems the love I've known has always been
The most destructive kind
Yes, that's why now I feel so old
Before my time. ...
The game of love I played with arrogance and pride
And every flame I lit too quickly, quickly died.
The friends I made all seemed somehow to drift away
And only I am left on stage to end the play."
- song line from "Yesterday, When I Was Young"

"true love is life's best treasure.
wealth and fame may pass away,
bring no joy or lasting pleasure.
true love abides all way.
through the world i'll gladly go,
if one true love i know."

Everyone, who came into my world, left footprints in my heart. Some, so faint, I can hardly detect them. Others, so clear, I can easily discern them. Regardless, they all influenced me. They all made me who I am.
