TENNIS superstar Maria Sharapova said she visited the Philippines weeks before the start of the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) tournament, which is currently being held in Manila.
In an interview aired on "TV Patrol," the Russian player said she recently took a short break in the Palawan province with friends.
The 27-year-old athlete said she is glad that she finally made it to province, which is famous for its world-renowned underground river.
"I was at the Palawan Islands. I kind of went around the islands. It's the trip that I wanted to take for many years. I went around the island with my friends. It was really fun," she said.
