At least 240 people were evacuated from a town in Bohol province due to rain from Tropical Storm Seniang, state-run Philippine Information Agency reported Monday afternoon.
The PIA said that as of 1:30 p.m., 240 people and 28 families had been evacuated from Talibon town.
It added the town of Tubigon had experienced "unceasing moderate rain" since Sunday night, with winds moderate to gusty but generally bearable.
Also, the PIA said disaster response teams in Candijay town in Bohol assisted local residents in evacuation but some of them preferred to stay home.
As of 11 a.m., state weather agency PAGASA said at least 28 areas in Visayas and Mindanao were under storm signals due to Seniang. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
