TV superstars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera on December 30, 2014 exchanged wedding vows after more than five years of being a couple.
The star-studded ceremony, which was announced in August after Dantes made public his two-year engagement with Rivera, started at exactly 2:28 p.m. at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Quezon City.
The mass was celebrated by eight bishops and seven priests, with President Benigno Aquino III in attendance as Dantes' best man.
Among the 40 principal sponsors were Kris Aquino, Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos and Bench founder Ben Chan. The couple had 18 groomsmen, 18 bridesmaids and 25 secondary sponsors, including Ai Ai delas Alas and Richard Gomez.
Rivera, who wore a Michael Cinco gown, was brought to the altar by her Spanish father Francisco Alonso and Filipino mother Amalia Rivera.
Widely publicized as a "royal wedding," Dantes and Rivera's nuptials is the last in a long line of celebrity couples to get married this year -- following the likes of Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones, Bianca Gonzalez and JC Intal, and Aiza Seguerra and Liza Dino.
Rivera, 30, and Dantes, 34, met in 2007 when they co-starred in the local adaptation of "MariMar." They went on to play sweethearts in several more TV series, including "Dyesebel" in 2008.
