Jessie Jazz Vuijk, 20, was crowned Miss Netherlands 2015 at the end of the beauty pageant held on September 7, 2015 at National Palace Auditorium, Amsterdam.

Who is Jessie Jazz Vuijk Miss Nederland 2015 ?

Jessie Jazz Vuijk lives in Amsterdam. She began her career as a model when she was 17, she has been living in Istanbul for three months for her modeling work. Currently Jessie Jazz is studying Event Management, where she recently finished her internship as a ‘booker’. For her the Miss Nederland Pageant is more than just a beauty contest, for her it’s a reason to show how beautiful is her country – “I am proud of the Multiculturalism in the Netherlands” she said.

History of the Netherlands at International Pageants

In 1951 the Netherlands debuted at the Miss World and Miss Universe in 1956. The national beauty pageant was called “Miss Holland” from 1950 until 1990, since that year the winner competed at the Miss Universe, while runner-ups traditionally competed at the Miss World and Miss International. Since 1991 it became known as “Miss Nederland” whose winner went to Miss World pageant. In 1991-2008 Miss Universe representatives selected from “Miss Universe Netherlands” pageant.

The country has won the Miss Universe pageant one time with Angela Visser in 1989 and made the TOP 5 fourth times (2014, 1991, 1989 and 1965.)
