December '80. X'mas party at Finnish professor's place in Brisbane. Teaching Nippongo in Qld Uni. Inside's architectural design was very Japanese.
Everyone wore kimono. Among the guests were Indian and African grad students.
Me and Japanese friend, Hiroshi Tonozaki (a grad student) went to used clothing store to buy the kimonos. Must have been used in an opera show.
Miss those days.
