Maraming kaugalian nating mga pinoy na nakasanayan na in dealing with day-to-day life na para sa atin  ay normal lang pero hindi pa rin maintindihan kung eto nga ba ay  kabuktutan or nakakatulong sa kaunlaran? Obviously these values can be used in a good or evil context.

Hiya

Pagkamahinhin

Bahala na (ganyan talaga ang buhay)

Palakasan

Bayanihan
Pagdadamayan

at iba pa...

Ganito kami noon, paano kayo ngayon?  Paano natin malalaman ang tamang direksyon Filipino values ought to move or become?

o/s Pinoy charity -- continually sending money home without making the recipient accountable -- is it good or bad? :-\

Why the word "Filipino"? Aren't they also found in other nationalities? ??? Can be good or bad depending on whether they're being used or being abused. :) ;)
gotta have a limit, mate. More precisely, gotta draw a line at some point in time and say, "enough is enough! You've been watching too many movies but life isn't like that in real life. If you want money, work for it!" ... And that's when the drama begins. Hehe :) ;)

Mao btao gitudlo-an nakog maau c Tart unsaon pagdrama. Have vested interests. ;D ;)

Maayo maayo
Kanus-a man ka mo-abroad, Choi. Sige na aron ikao na sai huk2Xan namo ni Tart. Mao nai among joint venture. ;D ;)

Brings back Koolan Island (KI) mine memories. Kitchen personnel were mostly Yugoslav. Were called the derogatory term dropkick (sh*t kicker). Same with garbage collector, toilet cleaner, etc. Had little schooling.
Oh, yes, only one Chinese cook 'coz many loved Chinese food. Racism was still very strong with asians as targets.
Every now and then, there were Aussies and Poms (English) but didn't stay long. Usually less than a year. Then, some went to Thailand or Philippines(Subic Bay and Angeles City) and opened niteclubs.
Was also like that in other mines. Kitchen personnel, garbage collectors and the like came from 3rd world European countries like Yugoslav, Poland, Slovakia, etc. They stayed long in the mines 'coz difficult for them to survive in the city. Lack fluency in English and poorly educated.
Why Yugoslav in KI? History. A handful of Yugoslav at first. Then, chain reaction followed. Whenever there's vacancy recommended someone from Yugoslavia.

Similar chain reaction could happen for Boholanos in a newly opened mine.
The question is, are you, Felix, RJ and some others gonna be the triggers for the chain reaction?

Can hear you saying, "Ayao ko!

;D ;D ;D :) ;)

Know you guys strongly resent this. ;) But that’s Philippine cultural value and attitude. Sa Binisaya pa, “Kayo-an. Bisag unsa lai pangayo-on. Kon balibaran, magbagolbol. Boyboyon dayon”. Hehehe. :) ;)
I'm sure that whenever skipper goes home, kanang iyang Calvin Klein nga bref, bsag angso kaaug baho, panagayo-on ghapon. ;D ;D ;D :) ;)

As the saying goes,
"The most candid statement is almost always the most unpleasant statement."

That's not the point, mate. Goes back to,
Why the word "Filipino"? Aren't they also found in other nationalities? ??? Can be good or bad depending on whether they're being used or being abused. :) ;)
As said, it's a common tale but true. Heard similar sagas from puti having relationship problem with Pinoy wife kasi walang tigil magpadala ng pera ang Pinay. :)

RG and Felix can understand. Kc naranasan nla ang buhay sa abroad. One reason for my posting here about Austalian opportunities,
Australia has myriads of golden job opportunities!!!!!
If you don't take advantage of them,
you have nobody else but yourselves to blame for your plight.
 :) ;)

Can still remember my words to my people back home. “Mao btao nga sponsoran ta mo aron mo makatilao lami ba ipuyo dinhi. Pero nag-play-up mo. Ang gusto ninyo nga ako nalai magsigeg hungit ninyo aron mo magtikang2X na lang pirme!”

Once again, living abroad is not all bed of roses.

Let’s take a hypothetical scenario: Supposing you’re offered a job as a toilet cleaner in a mine and paid $70K annually, mosugot ka?
:) ;)

Taking a different approach
Even with all the appropriate tickets and licences, many people struggle to get that first foot in the door.
One tactic that has worked for many jobseekers is to take a job that doesn’t require skilled training at all.
Kyla Jones, Site Director at Mining Oil and Gas Jobs advises the best way to get your start is to take a job many workers wouldn’t classify as a traditional ‘mining job’.
“Those types of roles are things like domestic cleaning with site services, gardeners, baggage handlers and bus drivers.” Ms. Jones continues, “You can earn around about $70,000 in a fly-in, fly-out situation.”
If this doesn’t sound like what you had in mind, the biggest benefit to these service jobs might well be getting to know people already in the industry.
“Once you’re in there, then there’s an opportunity to up-skill, retrain and get to know people,“ explains Ms. Jones.

The importance of persistence
Without a doubt, finding the first opportunity can be the hardest for someone wanting a mining career.
Persist in your job search and consider different avenues for entry.
Anyone with a positive mindset and a flexible attitude is going to be attractive to employers.
Would you consider taking an unskilled role just to break in to mining?
