i remember during my first year in medskul--i have my own set of scalpel and knives for dissection at human anatomy lab class..and for a year--i ddn't eat corned beef--coz our cadavers smelled just like it.
i ddnt have pics taken at the anatomy lab--i still have high respects for the human body. Before dissection, we wud say a prayer for the cadaver. We even held mass at the lab in Nov for All Souls' Day.
Aside from whole human corpses--the lab has boxes dedicated for a particular organ so when we study about the heart in particular, we just have to dig on the box full of 'hearts'. There are also boxes full of brains, another one full of hands, a box full of kidneys,etc..etc..
It seemed gross, but just like all things' else--it's really just a matter of getting used to it.
