When the Law of Attraction "Doesn't Work"
By Ryan McKelvey

"Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat." -Napoleon Hill

First, let me state, the Law of Attraction is ALWAYS working. You have heard it before but it is worth stating again:

WE LIVE IN AN OCEAN OF MOTION

This means that no matter our impression of what is going on outside of us, we are giving off a vibration. The universe is receiving our vibration, amplifying it and sending it back to us. Here is the biggie... the vibration traffic we are creating eventually becomes our created reality delivered back from the universe.

So, what do we do when bad things come to rock our boat of 'feel-good' dreams?

"When you make a failure, it it because you have not asked for enough; keep on, and a larger thing then you were seeking will certainly come to you. REMEMBER THIS."- Wallace D. Wattles

I love how Wattles presents this idea. Some may view the quote above as a command to just simply persist. It is so much more than that. Modern teachers of the SECRET refer to a technique called ENERGY REDIRECTION.

ENERGY REDIRECTION is how we can make some proverbial LEMONADE when life feeds us LEMONS.

We can take a situation that may have blind sided us and exploit that surge of emotion for our benefit. Whether we sustain a blow financially, in a relationship or to our health, there is ALWAYS at least an equal or greater benefit for us. Usually the benefit is greater and becomes enabled by our suddenly changed circumstances.

Like anything else we desire, manifestation weighs in the balance what we think about, how we feel about it and what we do as a result. Thoughts and emotions that would usually be focused negatively can be redirected to something positive.

If you sustain a financial loss, decide you will not only find a way to make up for the loss but prosper over and above the value of the loss. If you become ill, decide you will recover and also find a cure to help others with the same suffering. If you lose a close friend, decide to build up relationships with those around you to new heights and develop new relationships.

Most of all, feel joy and encouragement from your new decisions. That is what will fuel your creative energy for insight on what to do next!
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know.
And you are the one who'll decide where you'll go. "
