Activities To Make You Lose Weight Quickly

Choosing the right foods is one part of curbing your appetite, but there are activities you can do to help out too.

#1. Exercise! We all know that exercise helps us burn calories, but did you know that it helps us consume fewer calories later too? It's true! Doing 60 minutes of cardio (running, swimming, hiking, biking, boxing, playing sports, dancing etc) can reduce your appetite for up to 2 hours after you finish exercising.

#2. Chewing Gum - Chewing gum lets your brain think that you are eating, and can keep you from munching when you aren't really hungry but are just bored.  Chewing gum also burns 11 calories per hour!  Make sure to choose the sugar-free gum brands.

#3. Recognize Real Hunger - It is easy to nibble on food because we are bored...waiting in line, watching TV, or even when we are at work...but it is important to eat only when you are actually hungry.  When you are thinking about eating a snack or meal, ask yourself first if you are:

    * Thirsty (being dehydrated can make us think we are hungry when what we really need is a glass of water)
    * Bored
    * Tempted by Sugar/Salt and want something because it will taste good, not because we need to eat.
